You can utilize the free version of the basic program from Mangahigh, there is no need to add your school or purchase a user license. Students will begin on the easy level and will automatically progress through the more difficult questions as they answer correctly. Once the student complete 10 questions they will see a screen indicating how they have done. If you create a class, which is free, they can compare themselves to others in the class. If students play again, by pressing the play again button on the bottom of the report screen, it will track their progress and place them at the appropriate level automatically.

Review box and whisker plots as a whole class by working through the Mangahigh Teach Me button on the home screen. Project for the class.

Activity 2
Students should open the box and whisker game at Magnahigh. They can review with the Teach Me button or How to Play on their own or move directly to Play. All students will begin on the easy level. Once students complete 10 questions they will see a screen where they can see their points and see an overall view of how many questions they answered correctly. The score is based on the amount of time they spend on each question and how many they get correct. Students should continue playing the game by pressing play again. The game will automatically increase the level of difficulty as the students score improves.
Remind students that they receive two hints and one solution without affecting their score.
Once students have completed their first set of questions have them select to review their answers on the summary screen. They will not only be able to discuss with you what they missed, identify their errors in calculations or thinking but also earn more points! |
